Court House

The owner of the Wayne County Courthouse is Wayne County itself! There are two different courthouses in Lyons. One particular courthouse is the new one and it has been around for about ten years compared to the old courthouse that has been in used since 1854. About 43 people work in both courthouses combined.

Lock 27

The village of Lyons has an important lock system. This system is called Lock 27. The owner of the locks is the State of New York they also manage the locks. The locks help provide transportation to the travelers on the canal.
